Our laboratory facilities are equipped to process all artifact types. Perishable and non-perishable artifacts are cleaned, catalogued, labeled, and can be stored on site. Artifact analyses are facilitated by microscopes, large comparative collections, and an extensive reference library. Applied Archaeological Research, Inc., owns sufficient field equipment to conduct several projects simultaneously. We use the most current software for post-field processing of GPS data and use state-of-the-art computer graphics programs. Staff specialists generate a variety of GIS products tailored to each client’s needs, such as GIS databases and associated metadata, predictive models, and spatial analyses. Fieldwork and mapping are supported by Trimble and Garmin global positioning system (GPS) units. For archaeogeophysical surveys AAR, Inc., uses a Geometrics G858 dual sensor cesium magnetometer. |
